Voicy transcribes voice messages and audio files into text directly in Telegram. It supports multiple audio formats including .ogg, .flac, .wav, and .mp3. The bot can be used in private group chats or added as a participant to any group chat.
Speech Recognition Options
Voicy gives you a choice of recognition engine and language:
- Wit.ai — works out of the box, with support for custom tokens via
/witToken - Google Speech — can be configured with your own Google credentials via

Group and Chat Controls
When added to a group, Voicy offers several moderation and behavior settings:
/lock— restrict command usage to admins only/silent— hide status messages during transcription/files— choose whether audio files should be transcribed or ignored/transcribeAll— automatically transcribe every voice message in the chat/transcribe— manually request transcription of a specific voice message
Advanced Features
The /geeky command provides additional options for advanced users, such as sharing Google credentials and bypassing Telegram's 20 MB file size limit. A /privacy command is also available to review the bot's privacy policy.
