What this bot does

Send the bot anything that hints at a song and it comes back with the file. A title, an artist, a half-remembered line of lyrics, a voice message, a video, a video note or an audio clip all work as a query, so it doubles as a search engine and as a way to identify music playing in a clip you were sent.

Each search returns a numbered list of ten matches with their durations, so you can tell the official audio, the lyric version, the instrumental and the ten-minute loop apart before downloading. Tap a number and the track arrives as a playable audio file you can forward or save.

How to use

1. Send /start to open the bot.
2. Type a song title, artist or lyric line, or forward a voice, video or audio message.
3. Pick a number from the list of results.
4. Play or save the audio file the bot sends back.
